"ABS To Envy"

Is there a secret to firm ABS? A magic potion like the fountain of youth? I don't think so....Well, besides tummy tucks and lipo.

Yes, actually there is a secret to having ABS to envy and it begins in the core. No, not the core of an apple. The abdominals are made up of four muscles. The rectus abdominis, external and internal obliques and transverse. You need to target all of these muscles in order to achieve that sexy six pack!

First, you must understand that your core connects movement between your upper and lower body. You have to rely on that for stability. If your midsection is more flab than fab, perhaps you should take some notes.

First order of fitness is to burn fat. Your muscles have been playing hide and seek, if you want to find them, MELTDOWN is a must! So drink plenty of water, at least eight glasses per day. Do your cardio, any cardiovascular activity you enjoy that gets that heartrate up there. Make sure to monitor that of course, and DIET, there is no easy way out of this one. If you aren't eating right, you won't get tight. Period.

So, I am sharing a few of my favorite and most effective core training workouts with you.

1) Pilates
2) Kickboxing
3) Tai Chi
4) exercises w/stability ball
5) supine bicycles
6) hanging leg raises (Roman chair)
7) good OLE' fashion crunches


*Remember, Whatever the exercise, practice engaging your abdominals so that they are always at work. By strengthening your core, you'll be on your way to a stronger back, better posture (stand up taller girl, you're a model) better balance, increased muscular endurance and speed, and oh let's not forget..Abs to envy!
